How to Load the Update
To update your recipes, configure and then save the recipe file. Put the file (any name ending in ".rcp") onto a good quality FAT32 USB drive that is less than 32GB size. Insert the drive into the USB port on the cooker when no recipe is running. The display will show UI/UPDT. Press the left button to start the update or the middle button to skip the update. If the update is successful, the display will show RCP DONE. All slots will be updated.

Scales the boil time by the total heat capacity of the load (mass × specific heat), calibrated so that
8 cups rice + 8 cups water = 600 seconds. Assumes 236.6 g per cup of water (Cp 4.186 J/g·K) and
185 g per cup of uncooked rice (Cp 1.8 J/g·K), which works out to about 56.1 sec per cup of water
and 18.9 sec per cup of rice. Use the result as the Boil stage Max Time. Adjust as needed based on testing.
